Today, we’re introducing a new resource from KIPP Newark Collegiate Academy school leader Sean Stevens – his podcast, from Necessary Studios called “Walk in Your Excellence”. If you’re looking for a weekly dose of inspiration to help you walk in your excellence, check out this quick, weekly show.

“There are some untold stories of amazing people, who I know and who I don’t know, and I’m randomly emailing and Instagramming people, and saying, ‘hey, would you like to be a part of my podcast?’” Sean says. If you look at the podcasts posted so far, you’ll see a range of people across different domains, who all have amazing stories.

Who is it for?

According to Sean, this podcast is for anyone “who just need some daily inspiration, some weekly pick-me-ups, who want to hear stories.” Sean chats with leaders, entrepreneurs, writers, and advocates who all have incredible stories that you should hear.

Among his season one guests, you’ll find Academy Award nominee and KIPP NCA teacher TaNisha Fordham, Celebrity Chef Jeff, Kenny Jones – an author and motivational speaker, and Deray McKesson, civil rights activist and major supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement. Regardless of the guest, each episode brings you a new story worth listening to, of someone who created their own destiny by overcoming adversity.
